Every person on the team was asked an important question before they were hired, which was "What is the most important part of a dental practice?" Each one was hired because they spontaneously answered, "The patient." Our staff is best characterized as happy, experienced, dedicated to the patient. They are dedicated to continuous study and education to better serve the patient.

Dr. DeMello's assistant, Annette, has compassionately assisted the doctor since 1983. The office treatment coordinator, Belina, has been with the office since 2001. Belina is a highly trained experienced expert in coordinating treatment and handling all questions about insurance benefits of the many different insurance and dental benefit companies. Gisele has been a hygienist for over 30 years and worked with Dr DeMello since he started in 1981 with Dr DeMello's associate, Dr James A. Ferioli. Jenn and Ann were also dental assistants for years prior to becoming dental hygienists.

She and her husband keep very busy with two children.  She has been involved in many cultural events with the Portuguese community, enjoys traveling, likes to knit, crochet and many other crafts.

Mostly, she is very motivated and has an upbeat personality, which really inspires the entire staff.  She is a team player and strongly believes it takes an entire team effort to run a practice efficiently.

She particularly likes how Dr.Demello is keeping ahead of other practices by using the latest in techniques, materials and technology to augment his esthetic skills, making it a much more pleasant experience for the patients and more interesting for her. She trained along with Dr. DeMello when he began making CEREC crowns in one visit several years ago.

Annette has a knack for making people feel at ease and comfortable.  She has a good sense of humor, a kind heart, and she understands and remembers what it feels like to be a patient in a dental chair. She is also a patient of Dr. DeMello's.  She also loves the staff she works with and enjoys all the people who come to visit the doctor.  She has always maintained that the patients and staff feel like family to her.

In her spare time she is an artist, gardener, a great cook, and likes to make jewelry and crafts. She knits, weaves baskets, enjoys photography, and is a cat lover, She also enjoys nature and really enjoys renovating her home which has been in her family for three generations.

Gisele is now working part-time for Dr. DeMello since Dr. Ferioli's retirement in April 2007.
What has always amazed her about Dr. DeMello is his enthusiasm for dentistry. Many dentist lose that enthusiasm as the years go by but Dr. DeMello remains excited about dentistry and has stayed abreast of the newest technologies and has implented them in his practice. He is also very supportive of patient education and supplies his hygienist with the latest materials to treat and educate his patients.

Gisele has been married for thirty years and has three children and one son-in-law who are the light of her life. No grandchildren yet, just alot of grand pets. She enjoys reading , tandem biking with her husband , boating and fishing , camping, exercising at the gym, and loves animals. She is also an avid Pawsox, Red Sox, and Patriots fan.

She has been involved in her community, especially in the school system when her children were attending, and is an active participant in her church.

She joined Dr. DeMello’s team in 2008 as a part time hygienist and is committed to staying up to date with her profession by learning about the latest technologies and advances in dentistry. She annually attends continuing education courses and seminars to keep abreast of the latest information, techniques, and materials to educate herself and pass that flow of knowledge to the patients as well.

Jenn appreciates that Dr DeMello's patients are very pleasant dedicated and knowledgeable . Jenn is fluent in Portuguese as well as English.

Jenn is recently married and enjoys traveling, shopping and trying new things.
